Stella 5 months, and the case of the kiss attacks.

This morning Stella woke up before Cambree and Sienna, so I fed her. I fed her real good, till she pulled away and gave me a gummy-grin as if to thank me. But I was kinda mad at her for waking up 3 times last night. And then for not going back down without a fight...all 3 times.

Don't you know that night times are for sleeping child?

geesh.

Luckily, for the most part she does sleep pretty well for me.
But her smiles and soft skin are too sweet to stay mad at.
So I kissed her cheeks. and kissed 'em real good.
And as soon as I finished kissing those little cheeks, I heard the other girls coming down the hall.

And they joined us on my bed, Cambree squealed in delight, "Awe! There's my baby sister! There's my baby!" and Stella smiled so big. And of coarse, Sienna also joins in. They both love their sister so much.

And that's when it happened.

Cambree started kissing Stella's cheeks.
and head.
and arms.
and head again.
and Sienna joins in.
and cheeks again.
and toes.
and hands.
and belly.
and cheeks again.
whoa, be soft, girls! (insert annoying Mama-nag-voice here)
but underneath all of those kisses was the happiest Stella you ever saw.
and I don't blame them for kissing on her.
Because kissing every inch of Stella is all I want to do too.
and most days, it is all we do.

Stella is five months old now.

It's weird because when Cambree was born (my first baby), I just looked forward to each and every new thing. Like I wanted her to get rolling or to sit up by herself. I fed her food as soon as I could. We put her in crawling boot-camp (seriously) where we would sit with her and put her 'lil body in the crawling position for good chunks of time throughout the day. It was so much fun to see what she'd do next.

But not with Stella... I just want her to stay my baby.
forever and ever and EVER.
But against my wishes, she is changing and growing fast.

I guess if she must. she must. And while she does, I'll document it.

Some new Stella-isms:

She's a roller. She rolls from her front to back. back to front. But, she hasn't decided to roll off everywhere yet. She is taking her time.

She's always loved her bath...but now that she is so much stronger and can somewhat sit up, she really loves her bath. She loves the water. She loves chewin' on her bath toys or just her washcloth. and she loves kicking and splashing.

She's totally interested in food now. Just the other day, I was picking up my drink, bringing it to my mouth, and putting it down and her little beady eyes followed my every little move. So funny. So I now feel guilty eating or anything in front of her. But she loves her baby food. (notice she isn't lacking in the chunkage department).

The other day she just started to blow raspberries at us. She thinks it's pretty neat-o. You can check her out doing it here:

She also likes to feel her feet. So she gets up on those lil chubby legs of hers and stands. Like she is SO big.

The girls both adore Stella. Whenever the girls are around, Stella observes their every move. And Cambree and Sienna both are so so sweet to her - they both narrates everything she does. "this is my Princess dress Stella." or "I'm drinking Chocolate Milk Stella. hurry and get teeth so you can have some." Stella always makes eye contact and hangs on every single word that the girls say to her. They all make such a cute combo. I'm so glad they all have each other.

(The girls at our Pizza lunch date this past week)

and really, I'm so glad we have each other.

Stella she makes us all happy, jovial, and joyful. Basically all the time.
She makes me smile.
She makes everyone around her smile.

She's just the sweetest thing to ever live.
and I'm so glad we get to kiss her whenever we want.

xoxo
