i{heart}faces: Sweet Dreams

Sweet dreams is the theme this week at I{heart}faces, and how sweet are sleeping children? So peaceful with not a care in the world! We had just finished up Sienna's 6 month photo shoot and she was pooped!

You can see more people caught in their own sweet dreams here....

Santa Claus

I asked Cambree a few things about Santa Claus a few days ago. I wasn't quite sure how much she knew about 'Ole Saint Nick.

this is what she had to say:

Me: "Where does Santa Claus live?"

Jo: "Don't know. I want you to tell me."

Mom: "The north pole. remember?"

Jo: "Yes. It's cold there. I don't like cold I freeze." as she laughs. "I need my hat, coat, and my gloves and my scarf."

Mom: "Do you want to go visit Santa Claus?"

Jo: "Yes. I want Sponge bob, Sandy, Patrick and Sponge bob."

Mom: "Is that all you want from Santa Claus?"

Jo: "I like Swiper, Dora, Boots and Jaguar....and Ego Ego Ego (Diego)!

Mom: "What do you think Si Si wants for Christmas?"

Jo: "A ball. A wittle tiny ball and a game. And I a BIG ball for me."

Mom: "So you are going to sit on Santa's lap and tell him what you like?"

Jo: "NO, I scared!"

(that's what I thought!)

Mom: "Why are you scared?"

Jo: "Cause I don't want to sit in his wap."

Mom: "How does Santa Claus fly his sleigh?"

Jo: "Reindeer's. 4 reindeer's."

Mom: "Do you know any of the reindeers names?"

Jo: "Nope. I don't know their names."

Mom: "How does Santa Claus deliver presents?"
Jo: "He opens the front door."

Mom: "I think he comes down the chimney while you are asleep. Are you on Santa's naughty list or good list?"

Jo: "GOOD LIST!"

Mom: "What are you doing to be on his good list?"

(I was curious what she would say.)

Jo: "You Mommy. I mind you and I drink apple juice and I eat."

Mom: "What does Santa Claus look like?"

(She was getting sick of all the questions by now.)

Jo: "He is red, blue and purple."

What a silly girl!
She is defiantly one-of-a-kind!!!

It has been such a fun year introducing Sienna to our family and seeing her and her big sister, Cambree immediately grow and love each other. They really do have a special relationship with each other and I hope will always be the best of friend's. This past year has been wonderful and I'm so glad that I have two precious girl's to be with everyday. I thought it would be fun to put together a little slide show of Sienna. It's amazing how fast these 12 months have gone by. I cherish every minute and loved every moment! It's been the greatest first year ever!!!

12 month check-up

We took Sienna to her 12 month check up yesterday!

time is flying by...

For journaling sake here are her current stats:

Height 28.2 inches (in the twenty-fifth percentile)
Weight 17.5 lbs. (in the fifth percentile)
Her check-up went really well. She is growing like a weed! She is now cruising around really good now. Keeping up with her big sister. It's fun to see the similarities between my two girls and also how different they are too. I thought Cambree was a Mommy's girl until I had Sienna. She is even more of a momma's girl. I didn't think it was possible. She now reaches her hands out for me when she wants me to lift her up. She constantly will lean in and hug me too. It's the cutest! She is bursting with personality more than ever! Last night she thought it was so funny to turn the t.v. on and off. I started to say, No to her and she would just make the silliest faces and run to me. It kind of turned into a game.
I am still nursing Sienna and I keep telling myself I am going to stop. I told myself I would stop when she turned one. Now she is one and now I keep saying next week. It's so hard for me to take it away, but I need too. I know she will be okay it's just breaking her. It's going to be hard for the both of us. I nursed Cambree a lot longer, but things were a lot different with her. At this point Sienna just likes the comfort more than anything I think. I really need to gear up soon because, I don't want to give in and I know I will be looking at a few hard nights for the both of us. We'll see how long it will take me.
Wish me luck!

Thanksgiving 2009

Busy WEEK! Birthday parties, a little Christmas shopping (Black Friday wiped me OUT!). and a WONDERFUL Thanksgiving day with family made this week FLY by. I LOVE, love, LOve Thanksgiving....so NO complaining, but where did the week GO?

Here are some picture's of our week! Mostly Thanksgiving and a few more from Sienna's birthday! It was a lot of fun stretching her birthday out for the entire week! She was starting to get really good at unwrapping the paper. Also, Thanksgiving day was great and we loved having family over at our house and going to my mother-in-laws the next day for MORE! We have so much to be Thankful for! That's why I love this time of year because it makes you reflect on it.

This is Jo getting ready to eat some fabulous food on Thanksgiving day. I was happy she enjoyed the turkey...
Shortly after this is how we found her! I guess it's true what they say about turkey making you sleepy! She fell asleep upright on this chair. So cute! She slept most of the day and woke up at 7:30 that evening.

My cute Hubby...
Sienna opening up presents! She loves her little table with her blocks, her ELMO phone, her babies, and her Noah's ark and all the animal's! Thanks everyone for celebrating this little girl's birthday with us! It was so much fun!

We missed Cambree in this one she was still sleeping. It seems nearly impossible to get us all in one together.
Sienna playing over at Grandma Alycia's the next day. It was nice being able to spend another day with Mike's side. We stuffed ourselves again and had fun playing some games.

Cambree loves to play Grandma's piano. She likes to sing while she plays!

On Sunday the girl's helped Grandma Cherri decorate her Christmas tree. Cherri does this every year and all the grand kids come over to help and make Christmas crafts. It's a lot of fun. We had soup and rolls and we also sang to Sienna happy birthday for the very last time!
Lily and Sienna with Papa...
Cambree with Grandma Cherri making her Christmas ornament...

Sienna hanging up her first Christmas ornament! She would put one on the tree and then come back to Grandma for more.

Spoiled Girl. Opening up more gifts with help from BIG sister...

And, another Birthday cake to blow out with the help from Daddy this time...

What a BUSY, but super FUN week!
